Meet the Doctors
Indigo Health Group is a wellness clinic that serves Seabrook Island and surrounding communities in South Carolina.
Dr. Audrey Myers uses chiropractic care to improve the health and wellness in all areas of patient's lives, whether they are having problems with back pain or neck pain, or just want to start feeling better when they wake up in the morning. Dr. Myers takes a "whole person" approach in chiropractic care, which means looking for the underlying causes of disease, discomfort, and pain, as opposed to just treating the symptoms. Many seemingly unrelated symptoms often arise from imbalances in the spinal column, and Dr. Myers will be able to determine the root of the pain and create a personalized chiropractic and wellness plan to suit each patient's individual needs. Under the supervision and care of our caring and skilled chiropractors, patients report higher functioning in all areas of their lives.
Dr. Tom Hewitt, DC, CSCS is a dedicated, results oriented and patient-focused chiropractic physician who served for the past 12 years as owner and clinical director of a successful health and wellness clinic in Newport Beach, California. He has relocated to the sunny shores of Charleston, South Carolina with his wife and two young boys and is proud to call Mount Pleasant home. Dr. Hewitt was raised in Canada and competed in a number of sports including ice hockey, volleyball, lacrosse, mountain biking, rowing, sailing and windsurfing. While a member of the provincial windsurfing team he was introduced to the amazing benefits of chiropractic care by his coach and mentor who sparked him to pursue this as a career. Seeking a warmer climate where he could enjoy outdoor activity year-round (without getting frostbite!), he applied to the Doctorate program at Los Angeles Chiropractic College in California and graduated from Southern California University of Health Sciences/LACC on the Deans List in 2004. Using a variety of evidence based therapies in addition to primary chiropractic care, Dr. Hewitt works with a wide spectrum of patients and likes to consider himself and the patient/athlete as a team - working synergistically with other healthcare professionals, athletic coaches and personal trainers. He always places a great emphasis on the importance of functional movement, alignment, strengthening, nutrition and patient empowerment to establish long lasting results that far exceed simple symptomatic relief. With a dedication to life-long learning as a keystone to providing excellent patient care he additionally holds advanced certification in Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM Level 2 Expert Certified), TRX Sports Med Certified, Myofascial Taping (FMT Level 2 Advanced), ICPA Webster pregnancy Technique Certified, in addition to being a certified custom foot orthotics provider. To better serve his athletic clientele, Dr. Hewitt is also pursuing post-doctorate accreditation as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician (CCSP). He will be seeing patients at both the Country Club of Charleston and Kiawah/Seabrook locations.
